Pinpoint Direct is dedicated to providing critical CNC troubleshooting and repair information to those who need it. Instead of the traditional "trial and error" approach for machine troubleshooting used by most, our goal is collect information that has already been proven to be effective and make this information available to anyone who needs it. We will bring to you information, procedures, and pictures from field-service experiences, hard-to find documents, experts from OEM machine builders, and other sources typically available only to "insiders." All our products and information have been created to do just one thing: Keep your CNC machines running.

Machine Troubleshooting: The old way and our way

Today most CNC troubleshooting is still done with what is basically a trial and error approach. Check in a maintenance book or call for phone support and get your “list of potential causes.”

The Pinpoint approach is different.
CNC alarms, servo alarms, cutting problems, machine alignments, interfacing, ATC and APC malfunctions, ...we've been there. We present the troubleshooter with information that has already been proven to resolve a particular problem. Can a machine malfunction have a number of different possible causes? Of course it can. But with experience, a “most-likely” root cause and solution can be determined.
